“The release of the results for the second cohort of candidates comes at a time when the TVET Act, 2025 has just come into force,” Janet Museveni said.
“These candidates are proficient health workers equipped with skilled hands and compassionate hearts. They have been assessed by the Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board," she said.
According to the Executive Secretary’s report, there was a 22.8% increase in Health TVET candidature.

She urged trainees to see their training as a calling, not just academic achievement:
“Consider your training as a calling. Do not see it merely as a way to build your career. You have been entrusted with the responsibility to serve with patriotism, care, compassion, and innovation.
I charge you with Colossians 3:23-24: ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.’”
Janet, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to promoting Health TVET. She emphasized support for legal frameworks, policy guidance, and investments in training infrastructure.
“I appreciate the stakeholders, partners, parents, and guardians whose sacrifices have supported these trainees.
I congratulate all successful candidates upon completion of their studies.
To those who were not successful, I encourage you to try again. Whatever you do, please do not give up!”
The results announcement comes as Uganda strengthens its health workforce.
According to the ministry of education, Vocational training is being aligned with labour market demands, equipping graduates for employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance.
